Yes, it was awful that John was even brought up on charges. They were looking for a scapegoat, on top of being unfortunate enough to have been involved in one of the explosions, John and his brothers had some enemies that wanted he and his family taken down a notch. Good thing John was who he was and didn't take it lying down. I was thrilled when he was vindicated in the end and able to put a stop to the creation of more cannons that would have caused more deaths.
