Hubert Bowles is a scary fella, another slimey underbelly of the govenment type, that gives me the creeps. I hope he doesn't KNOW things that can hurt John or if he does that he doesn't use them. I suspect that perhaps it will be something that perhaps Bowles or someone in his "office" will do that will eventually send John out to serve in Jamaica (another effective banishment we don't know the cause of). -- LJG Discussion board

I hadn't thought of Jamaica as punishment, ambassadorships are usually perks to campaign contributors in the US - cushy jobs. But that's something I hadn't thought of. Bowles deals in information and has Dickie Casswell in his pocket. He also knows about Neal Stapleton and Captain Bates knew that much about Bowles as well. Will Neal-T-C show up again? - Well, Neil the Cunt.. I sort of liked him. He was way out there for his time. I think he even shocked John. I was thinking with the dangers of traveling and tropical diseases, perhaps going to a place like Jamaica wasn't considered a pleasure cruise in John's time. Who knows?
