When he and LJ have the conversation that ends with Jamie killing the rabbit, he tells LJ something like, "while there is anyone with a claim upon my protection, my life is not my own." LJ probably thinks he means his family in the Highlands, though he can't offer them much protection at the moment, but I thought he meant Willie.
