- I liked reading the original words of the author. It is very well-written, but short...a slim 55 pages in length! Mine is a sturdy-ish softcover with front and end flaps, with a handsome photo of Heath and Jake on the cover. It is probably a good idea to have a look at it in the bookstore to see if you wish to spend $9.95. I am glad to own it. (NT) -- teddie, 10:26:22 11/29/07 Thu
  - You can also find it in a collection of short stories (it's called Close Range) that is a much better buy if you can find it. You might like Annie Proulx other work, The Shipping News and Postcards (there are more but these are my two favorites!). Shipping News has also been made into a film.
