I'm sorry to say that I never seem to get a clue about figuring these things out ahead of time *G* - I just never twigged on the fact this new book was coming out so soon, and all the ramifications. But, I have been pondering this situation today after reading parts of this thread earlier.

The first point is - even though not everyone has read all of Diana's "other" books, anything that has been published (aside from BOTB) is fair game on the Books Board, thus it's fair game here. Now, Succubus has been out for years and therefore it is also fair game. I'm sure it's been quoted from in the past ON the Books Board.

Note that at the top of the Books Board it says in scrolling red text to beware:

Be forewarned that the book discussions encompass Diana's PUBLISHED BOOKS! If you have not yet read the first 6 novels, The Companion/Through The Stones, Lord John And The Private Matter, or her short stories, chances are you are going to encounter messages and/or QOTD passages that will contain "spoilers" in them. And if you HAVE read the 6 main books but NOT the Companion/Through The Stones, you may encounter two spoilers if they are ever quoted from - Part 11: Works in Progress.

While I originally intended this BOTB board to go to the end of December, I had not realized this new book was coming out.

So, I'm probably going to move BOTB over to the Books Board and people can discuss it there or not, quote from it or not. I'll announce a definite date for the switch.

Then I'll make this board into a discussion board of the new book. That way, anyone who wants to discuss Hand of Devils can do it here, the rest can discuss the other LJ books on the BB with the other books. You can use them for QOTD or not. It'll just go into the regular quote "pool".

It has to be done some time so it might as well be now. This board will have been up for three months by then.
