  • Well, we can see my note below in regards to this, but I have to say, I don't think this book has to stand alone. If we were to read it that way, how could we gain such a deep appreciation, affection, or understanding for the characters, their motivations and their actions? We know that LJ has reason to fear exposure, portrayed in the Outlander books and in PM. And yet we also know from reading this book that as a man of honour, he must do what he knows is right, regardles of the cost.
