Thank you for letting me know it might have indeed be accidental, it happened in 1992 so it might well be the case. His poor Mom always blamed herself. Even worse her husband blamed her for "babying" him, her only child, and the love of her life. They ended up divorcing and that was heartbreaking too. I've lost touch with this friend...I got laid off..was busy with my own family...but think of her often. When "IT" happened, I thought I would never get over it and I wanted to be there for her forever. Then she became obsessed with the nature (are homosexuals born that way) nurture (did she somehow MAKE him gay) argument. She became very hard to be around. Not that I didn't understand, if it had been one of my kids, I wouldn't be able to let it go either, but it was almost a relief to grow apart (I am ashamed to say that). Anyhow, thanks for responding. I'd have to google her now to find her. I haven't spoken to her since 1999. I wonder if she'd even want to hear from me.
