- I was hoping someone else would mention this but since nobody has. John was just 16 when he joined his brother with the army just before Preston. BJR had already been "unmanned" at this point. Now, a true sick pervert like Jack could have used any number of objects to penetrate a victim, but I don't think given the times, John would have considered penetration with an object as rape.
