Subject: Thanks for the link, Jane. DG's explanations dovetailed with what I thought when Claire and Jamie went to the Governor's ball. But her comments on 18thC attitudes were very enlightening; it's so hard sometimes not to project our customs on the past and thus, find the past hard to understand.
