I was horrified that John wasn't alone when he opened that door. It might have hurt to see Percy with someone else but it wouldn't have turned into the life and death situation it ended up because of the "witnesses". I was glad that Jamie convinced John to take the risk and do the right thing. I would have been horribly disappointed in John if he hadn't done something. Even if he didn't "love" Percy, he had feelings for him, AND for his father. It would have been dishonorable in the extreme to allow Percy to be executed, even worse if John's testimony had sealed his conviction. -- LJG Discussion board
