Herewith I am forwarding TRV's email and its an open discusion to all. Anyone while replying
please USE REPLY ALL (till we get a list or Discusion forum) instead of reply (For I am not
going to decide on my own). Somebody have muthukumar's email added to it and forward to him....
TRV, I agree most of them which you said. I know (and I am) most of them are helping on their
own. That goes only with close friends (and not all 1995 mepcoites and all of them doesn't have
close friends from this list) and there are sometimes if someone asks for bit larger amount
where an individual can't help. At least such things can be brought up to this list. Those who
are helping on their own.. Please do so (if you can do on your own). I was told by Suku to help
a friends sisters marriage (hope you might be knowing). I was waiting for the occasion... but I
didn't hear that back. Also I don't want to someone say... "George helped me this much or TRV
helped me this much.... Better be friends helped me (thats another reason for which I am not
interested to bring this through Onelist)". Person to be eligible... I guess all are
professionals and no one will take/accept the money unless it is real need.
For instance.... we could help paying the room rent for the job seekers (one who is employed can
pay his share). Honestly, I felt that during my last vacation. I spent XXXXX money to treat
friends in Chennai and I got a feedback through some source, "It would be nice we should have
taken the money for our house advance instead of spending it at the bar". I have also seen the
needs (even a time food) for the jobseekers while I was in K.K.Nagar room. I wanted to share the
room rent (Which would be around $100.00 a month), but its hard for me to do that alone every
month. I am just looking for some helping hand to make that effective... there are/could be
several other issues like this... hope this makes/gives at least some sense. Anyhow, I don't
want to speak and conclude on my own... I would ask everyone to participate (Until the time you
request to take your name of the list). Speak out....! Our one weekend expense could serve many
of our friends montly expense. Think about it!
