Subject: Dyed my hair now its gummy and breaking off in one area

First, my water at my house has really bad iron in it,, my hair always has orange streaks in it and I usually use a malibu treatment to strip it, it always does a really good job, never had any problems.Yesterday, I dyed my hair from a medium dishwater blonde to a blonde. But it did really take at all, after the dye processed my hair was very brittle and gummy in one patch and started to fall out. So i just figured it may of been the orange in my hair from the iron making it feel that way. So we decided to go brown with highlights. So we re-dyed it and now its still gummy, and I dont know what to do, i cant even brush through my hair :( WHAT CAN I DO? prom is in a week, and my hiar looks gummy!!! Please reply asap!
