I once wedged a penny in between a plug and an electrical outlet, so it was just resting on top of the two prongs. Made a fun arc periodically.

My brother was dumb enough to take it out.

My mother had the scorched penny taped to a piece of paper and wrote on it "This is when Erik nearly killed himself." and wrote the date. It was on our refridgerator for about 10 years.
