...I've never gotten the hang of them since. I keep trying to love acrylics, since I know it'll be less annoyance on me in the long run, but I keep going back to oils. I've got one decent attempt in the works, and another mediocre attempt which is about to be given a makeover, but otherwise, just trying out everything in the book.

Eek on the camera... mine has taken a beating in recent time and is slowly heading to the great digital darkroom in the sky as well. Still, now I've been mostly using it as a source for paintings, but still, I understand how much of a pain that can be. Good luck getting the warranty foo accomplished!
