Subject: My own random updates...

Being somewhat idle while waiting for edits, I've been painting; both getting my pallette knives out for oil work and finally getting the hang of acrylics.

Starting off with the oils...
Washington Monument 11"X14" oil on canvas with pallette knives
Nightfall more oil on canvas

And a bunch of others; those are the ones I like though. Boring, but reasonable

Then I got bored and experimental. Warning: contains lots of colours, may cause a drop in goth points just by looking:

Started with Forest Path 12"X16" acrulic on canvas board. Not a bad first try at this method.

The North Crook 12"X16" Acrylic on canvas. The swimming area where I was camping... dunno what was in the water though. Must have been good.

Did a couple of others, then decided to go for the smooth board instead of canvas grain. Plus went a little less abstract.

Chinatown Marketplace 12"X16" Acrylic on Masonite.

I like this one... good mix of methods. A little bright... Next up I want to try a painting using a darker set of colours front and centre. Still, I think I'm getting the hang of acrylics.
