He quickly sat up realizing who it was and he sat next to her, eyes on her stomache. He was right...new life... His carraige was held firm, lifting his head off of her lap. He emitted a growl, not knowing how to whimper. He slid down to the ground, thinking if Paige would throw him out, just like when the other family had a baby. He placed his well-built head onto his rather large paws. He let out a sigh. The hair was still elevated. His tail was taut and his stance firm as he gazed into the crackling fire. The room's silence was broken. The fire seemed to rise, challenging the cold air that sliced beween the three beings in the room. Clocks ticked and in the walls there was scrathing to be heard.
