She smiled at Shock as she returned, she too had been watching the sleeping puppy. Crawling on her stomach forward towards Shock she out reached her hand and began stroking her black fur. "Shock, what are we gonna do about big ole grumpy Sampson?" She said, looking in the direction of the door, she knew he was in the house, but she didn't hear any shuffling downstairs. Propping herself up carefully, she sat, then proceeded towards the door. Opening the door that gave an unwanted sqeak, she looked down the stairs and hollared. "Sampson..puppy..come here!" She said, in the most cheerful voice she could muster.
