Tim I totally disagree with you. This show was very different from the run of the mill sitcom. It had a lot of realistic situations that we could relate to. Those situations were handled in a comedic way. Like for example
the episode that was intitled "Don't stress, express" We have all experienced having some form of stress in our lives and this particular episode seemed to flow effortlessly. I think Mark did offer an interesting counterpoint because their relationship wasn't always "loveydovey" they acted like a realistic couple. You can see that despite some of their arguments Bonnie and Mark truely love easc other.
