Sobs more freely as she huddles to Alice, her own tears falling down already sodden cheeks, and she says, "Alice... I thought it was pretend. I tried to drown myself... I just... can't take it, Alice! Why me?" she falls into repeated mumblings of curses to her captor, the damn vampire who took her as her kin then left her to its demands.
Rihan felt gnawing hunger, insatiable pain that she refused to quench. She didn't want this-this what? Life? Could this immortality, forever in hell be a life? Never.
"I'm so sorry... this lady came and dragged me out of the water, and the creature, my friend let me ride him here. I'm so sorry..."
