On the official North Country Trail website ( www.northcountrytrail.org ) Rich Krieger of the Spirit of the Woods chapter of the North Country National Scenic Trail Association posted that his chapter is looking for organized groups to assist in trail maintainance. I am not sure if he is trying to get sections assigned to particular groups or what, but if it is something the Fortune Bay group is interested in, I am willing to join in any trail mainainance effort as part of the group.
