Much more rocky, rooted, and steeper. It is probably the toughest developed trail I have hiked. Even tougher than the famed trains in the Darien Gap, Central America. There will be plenty of hard hikes. You should be in shape to hike this trail (well, you should be in shape for this exploration).

The trail is steep enough that you will be crawling up the trail with with your hands digging in just to make slow progress. Then you have to descend near rappels in a crab walk fashion. This happens over and over again for 4-5 miles. Then all you have are Appalacian Trail style hills for 2 more.

Thanks for the tarp offer, but I managed to get one packed. It is very beat up, but should work.

Don't worry about the download cable. The laptop is staying home after I started to pack a third backpack. The rock climbing gear, tarp, etc is enough.
