Lot's of warnings about mines.

I think a development plan should include a university research staff. There have been plenty of explorations of mines and the areas surrounding mines, however, I think that if an organization were to plan, train, and execute such an exploration in a professional manner, then they can mitigate most risks.

We heard the same think about the dangers of kayaking to the Manitou Islands from the mainland, but our training, planning, equipment, etc. allowed us to safely make the crossing. And not just in ideal conditions, but in very poor conditions for a crossing. (So poor the ferry was delayed a couple of hours.) That being said, teaming up with an organization that has knowledge and experience in this area will allow us to safely perform this expedition.

Just a thought.
