Samuel had called this clandestine meeting to gauge the feelings of the other triad leaders who had felt short changed by the monopoly and position of the uncontested dominance of Hong Kong's underworld that the Rising Dragons had. Sun Ye Lok�s leadership had definitely run its course � it was time for a fresh approach � and a younger leader could provide this change. Having had control of the triad groups for several consecutive years, Samuel�s aim was to convince the elders that change was good and he could provide stable leadership in contrast to a leader whose own triad group was fragmenting. Since the Rising Dragons had been attacked at its Achilles heel, the time may be ripe to make a coup and for that he needed the support of the other leaders. Sun Yee Lok was vulnerable from all reports and there may never be a better time to make a move on the Rising Dragons� supremacy in Hong Kong than now.
