Synopsis of the Rising Dragons thus far�

A male and female body are found murdered on a Chinese junk and Section knows that the Rising Dragons� triad is implicated in the deaths. Nikita is sent to Hong Kong to work for the Hong Kong Water Police in order to help Section find out more about the triad. Michael, posing as a private investigator looking for the daughter of a prominent Canadian attach� to China, enlists Nikita�s help from Senior Superintendent Xiao Zheng of the Hong Kong Police because she has expertise working in undercover crime. He reluctantly lets her go and Sections� investigation leads them to the floating city of Aberdeen where Tony Wong, a prominent member of the triad, runs an extortion racket amongst the fishermen in the district.

Captured, he is taken into Section where he is interrogated in the White Room, but he does not have the knowledge of Sun Yee Lok�s, the leader of the Rising Dragons, whereabouts. Tony Wong is eliminated after he divulges the names of who is in the inner circle of the triad.

Section profile a new mission to track these people down and Nikita goes undercover in Hong Kong in search of leads to those behind the death of the girl on the junk, the Rising Dragons and the owner of the Escort Service for whom the dead girl worked. Nikita is �freelancing� at a Hong Kong bar when a man approaches her. Seeing her �potential� he outlines a proposal to her with the view of meeting someone who can guarantee that she will make a lot of money but in a much classier environment. Nikita agrees and meets Madame Cheung, an inner circle member of the triad, and goes to work for her exclusive Escort Service catering for the upper echelons of Asian and European moneyed society.

This woman, however, is responsible for underage prostitution and is much feared by the girls who are in indentured servitude. Many of the girls in the �business� have been smuggled from other countries � Thailand and China to work there, and without papers, they have no means of escape. Michael enters the scene again, as the prominent French Canadian businessman who Madame Cheung believes has been instrumental in supplying Caucasian girls for her business. When he comes in search of a woman for his own pleasure, Michael chooses Nikita to be his companion for the night.

Madame Cheung is most pleased with Nikita�s performance as she has big plans for her, especially given her looks, and insists that she accompany her to Thailand. Michael, however, knows that once Nikita leaves Hong Kong she is in dire straits. He calls in a favour with Madame Cheung with the request for the same girl who he saw in Hong Kong. He tells her he is going to Bangkok for business and is in need of an escort to accompany him on his affairs while there. Madame Cheung comes up with a business proposition and suggests that they meet in Bangkok with Nikita.

Madame Cheung however, in due course meets another strong woman. Madeline matches wits with this doyen of the Rising Dragons. Michael and Nikita return to Hong Kong armed with more information on triad. It seems Madame Cheung was very helpful � with the right incentive.

With the murders now solved the Police have no further need of Nikita and she is transferred to Hong Kong's Organized Crime and Triad Bureau the � OCTB undercover unit where she finds out that the detective in charge of the OCTB unit, Jiang Ng is not all he seems to be. Section arranges his demise and incarceration and under Madeline�s coaching he divulges other information that may help them to find Sun Yee Lok. In the meantime, the Triad�s suspicions about Nikita deepen, and she is kidnapped by Andy Koo because she is getting too close to the Rising Dragons. When Michael tries to contact her he gets no answer and finds her missing. He goes into Mandatory Refusal. In his attempt to rescue her, he is captured, beaten and tortured. Both are reunited but face possible death when left to die. The monastery where they were tortured is incinerated and the triad believes that their antagonists have been killed but in fact, they have been rescued in a retrieval mission. Meanwhile the team returns to Section One with their two main operatives in a very bad way and with them no closer to capturing the head of the Rising Dragons.

And so the story continues ��..
