Well Dave, I've been reading your web site from the very beginning and I'd first like to congratulate you on its quality. Being a foreigner with only a small and incomplete understanding of American politics, I have been an interested but quiet reader until now.

In my most humble opinion, Kerry's right to ask for an investigation about Aristide's removal from power. Clearly, something weird happened because mere hours before his departure from Haiti, he was still saying that he intended to stay and see things through.

I find it very unlikely he left of his own accord. I have no love for the guy (he was becoming more and more like Duvalier it seems) and I'm not very sad to see him gone, but that's beside the point. The real question is, why was he removed, did the USA play a part in that and how was it done? It's important to know because it will provide answers about the US government's international policies and the role it wishes to play in other country's internal affairs.

The Bush admninistration lied about Iraq, so why the heck would they be telling the truth about Haiti?
