Reading the Robert Newton page was wonderful.I just want say that Iwas the ASM assistant stage manager at the Coliseum repertory Theatre Oldham when Robert Newton came for a special peformance of Walter Greenwoods play SoBrief the Spring.Dora Bryan was also in the cast.A point of trivia maybe but nevertheless a wonderful occassion

Hi Tony,

I'm a newcomer to the site, I would certainly be interested to hear your story, especially as most of the material extant on RN relates to film rather than theatre.
I imagine he was great to work with in a theatre setting.

Also, does your theatre still exist or did it become a car park like so many others, and, are you still in the business?
