When hubby and I went to see the latest LOTR's movie, we witnessed a preview for the upcoming summer movie, "Pirates of the Carribbean". I was pretty excited to see this preview. As a matter of fact, just a couple of weeks ago, I told my husband that I wished a good swashbuckling film would be created for the big screen. The film stars Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom (known as Legolas in the LOTR movies). Let's hope this film will be a great tribute to all the classic swashbuckling films of the past. Actually, I knew about the movie, but I've been remiss in mentioning it. I didn't realize it had a trailer already. It looks really cool. Now I can't wait to see the "Two Towers," just for the previews! I bet Geoffrey Rush will be a great pirate captain. (He played another RN role a couple of years ago--Javert in the Liam Neeson version of "Les Misérables.") And, of course, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride has always been my favorite. But then, I remember getting my hopes up when I first saw the trailer and read the book for "The Island," which turned out to be a total disappointment, in spite of an awesome cast, so I'm trying not to expect too much from this one.
