Hi everyone!

I saw POTC this afternoon and loved it! To me, I remained interested throughout the film, despite its length. I think Disney pulled off a wonderful, swashbuckling film that has long been overdue.

I was particularly impressed by Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa. I've seen him in films before, but I was skeptical about his current role as an evil pirate. Susan, I agree, he was one of my favorites in this movie and I most certainly picked up on his Newton imitation "arrgh", lol.

For those of you that were debating on seeing the film, I would say it is a "must-see." It is fun and action-packed. The sword-fighting, detailed props, and special effects are great. I'm thinking about going to see it again and will be waiting for the DVD to come out.

"Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate's life for me!"

Your friend,
Trisha :)

I thought the love story was integral to the plot, so even when it wasn't "center stage," it was still the reason for what was going on. I guess less of the love story wasn't exactly what I meant, but rather that what it really needed was two actors with more personality/chemistry!

I'm curious, did anyone besides me find the plot hard to follow at times? (I guess, like Trisha, I'm just going to have to see it again!)
