Busman's Honeymoon will also be on Wednesday at 5 a.m. on Turner Classic Movies in the UK. I know that he did scene painting in the theatre, but I've never seen it listed among his hobbies--and it most likely would be given his artistic heritage.

It's possible, but if you do a Google search on "Robert Newton," you'll find that it's a very common name. How did you come by the painting? Does the signature look anything like his autograph in the banner for this site?
