You know, I am going to give Leonard Maltin the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe, just maybe, his commentary needed to be 'cut short' to fit it in the disc set. There is a possibility that he may have talked about RN but it was never put on the disc. I don't know how they select who they will talk about and what eventually gets to be distributed to the public. I think that the set is worth owning because it is fully restored and the movie is crystal clear (unlike an old tape that I had that skipped and blurred and made funny sounds). Anyway I was just a little disappointed that RN was not discussed in more 'detail' than just as a member of the cast.

I seem to be putting duplicate entries in here because I am hitting the enter key too soon after my name. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I looked at the High and the Mighty disc set again with the Leonard Maltin introductions. He did do an introduction on each disc and on the 1st disc he mentioned the cast members by name only, including Robert Newton, but that was all. He did not go into the specifics of why they were selected. On the 2nd disc there is a selection under 'Special Features', 'The Making of the H & M', and 'Stories from the set'. That is where they have interviews from some of the surviving cast members and go into the selection of the cast. This is where I was disappointed that there was not something about RN. So, I thought I had better correct my initial blast of Leonard Maltin because it was not in his introduction but was futher down in the disc.
