Abandoning the trailer he had just emerged from, Centenial was led over to the stableyard. The handler had stopped him as she raised her hand to shield the sun's rays from entering her eyes, slowly looking around for Christine. The colt at her side was not as collected, he was prancing nervously at the end of his lead, gently bitting at the nylon fabric; he had never been away from home, except to race, perhaps this was just another race the woman had selected him to run in.
