Hi, can anyone give me more ideas for games to improve phonemic awareness? Games that i play at the moment are the sounds of the alphabet where we go round the class (5 puopils) and say a letter in turn will the object of the game to complete it more quickly each time. Another game i use is syllable clap where we break the words down into syllables and clap them out. This teaches the blends of letter sounds. from this we expand to i say syllables you say word e.g. i say K/a/t slowly then they repeat word cat quickly. Rhyming games also work well. Please if anyone has any handy websites or tips for teaching all the letter sounds it would be greatly appreciated.
