Date Posted: 14:30:18 02/05/04 Thu In reply to: Ranor 's message, "Re: ~*~*arrival.*~*~" on 14:07:49 02/05/04 Thu if you are going to the sanctuary, let me give you some of the general advice.... ~+~*she thought for a moment.*~+~ the bridges will not falter, just remember that. so long as you cross them and be done with it, they will not break. you can go into peoples houses, just dont do it too often. when you first get there, head to Mid-Pillar (you will recognize it because it has the council in it) and ask for rooms to stay in. you will be assigned to different rooms based upon where they decide to place you- do not fight their logic. it may get you killed. anyways, at the north, there are bridges that lead down the pillar. when you get there, you will be on top. jumping down would result in a 47 mile drop, provided that you did not hit anything on the way down. only jump if you are immortal, or can fly, or can ride something that will carry you. ~+~*she thought a bit more.*~+~ do not bother the Gryphons, all of them are of the Elder Breed and are probably larger than you normally see. however, there are Gryphon-Kin creatures there that are about the size of small dogs, they are just as deadly. none of the anthromorphic people there should bother you, but be polite to them..... at the bottom of the pillar is a lake in a cavern, that spans about 12 and a half miles in all directions. do not linger in the water for too long, the guardians there would swallow you alive. if you head out of the cavern from the strings of islands, you can reach the forests and meadows. there are other guardian races there, namely the Amarians- but they will give you no grief unless you tamper with their lands. ~+~*she glanced at a sun-dial through her window.*~+~ he should be awake by now- i will go get him, and send you about your way. ~+~*she vanished down the halls, and returned with Landis, who looked surprisingly joyful for one who was facing 'death' at the hands of his own people. he smiled, shook everybodys hand, and then sat down with you as if he had known you for a long time. he said nothing as Karen went on.*~+~ dont ask him to say anything- he was born a mute, but he can get his points across just fine. now remember- the Quezacoatl are not meant to be there. find Kakrine, and talk to her about what is going on. ~+~*you nodded, and left. you dropped back down into the swamp, and headed for the cave. you wandered down through the darkness for some time, until you came to a fork in the road. you took the smaller path, and eventually came to a large wooden gate, which Landis kindly burnt for you. there was a more extravagant silver gate behind it, sealed by ancient magic- but it opened with a shower of sparks as Treyvan approached it. you had forgotten that he could bypass things like this. you walked in, and slowly looked over the ledge, at the massive pillar below.*~+~ http://www.voy.com/172231/ [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
