The most galling part of all of this was that my mother did not consider my attire to be a punishment. She felt that boys needed to experience and understand the wearing of skirts and dresses, that such garments were in fact completely suitable for boys.

I did go out in my clothing with my mother. Usually but not always I wore a brief plaid skirt with white pelerine socks and Mary Jane sandals and normally wearing panties unless under discipline for being naughty.

My skirts were comfortable enough, just very exposing and noticeable. My mother said, you are not run of the mill but will stand out in a crowd.
