The other very popular outfit with my mother was the gingham school dress. It was very easy to buy in my size. My mother said the dress is very economic to wear and looks very smart on you. I used to be put in the school gingham dress as normal neat wear. This even included very public events such as concerts etc. The dress was worn with white pelerine socks, Mary Jane one strap sandals and naturally I wore frilly panties of some description underneath.
