Kidnap threats are new to me, but not impossible considering that she was getting death threats by racist bastards and that has been verified and reported, starting back when she won Miss America title. How long it lasted (or if it still does) has not been reported, nor the whole kidnap threats or obsessive fans. It is shame and I pray that nothing bad will ever happen to her or her family.
