Many marriages survive long distance. Have you forgotten that Robert Horry had a long distance relationship with his wife (who's a good friend of Vanessa) and to complicate matters their daughter has some kind of physical handicap, making it impossible to travel. Gary Payton and his wife lived apart she stayed behind with the kids in Seattle. There are many couples who survive long distance relationships, famous or not. It all comes down to commitment, family values and morals. Some men got it and others don't. As for her reuniting with Hervey, maybe this is what's meant to happen, I've always had a soft spot for him. I believe people do change and she's said that he's now a great father to the kids. Chris is also a decent guy.
