Outwardly, he retained the appearance of unconcern, "Well, true, I think, but you can't be considered at fault for that. But-" he suggested, "that's best forgotten now, if it was even real at all."

Kipyen sat back on his haunches, seeming to roll his eyes at Staphsalin's antics. Staphsalin let out a sort of squeak and darted out of Salaten's path.
