In reply to: Mr. Moore 's message, "South Asia Stats Questions" on 07:56:40 01/30/04 Fri

.) South Asia is very strong in seats in parliament held by women, and they have a good percentage of a population under 15.
.) Pakistan has a significant amount of people that are able to access adequate sanitation compared to the other countries. India has a much better literacy rate than the other countries. Pakistan has many more seats held by women in parliament.
.) South Asia appears to be doing very bad, their numbers are much lower than any other countries that I have seen, except India has a few high numbers. But especially their GDP is very low, under 2000. Also, only half of the adults in South Asia can even read.
.) The GDP’s of the Middle East are way higher than that of South Asia. The closest is Egypt (3520), and India (2840). That is the best comparison. Both have about the same amount of seats held by women in parliament. Although Pakistan’s 20.6 is much higher than any amount of seats held by women in the Middle East.
