In reply to: Mr. Moore 's message, "South Asia Stats Questions" on 07:56:40 01/30/04 Fri

1. South Asia has a very high life expectancy, ranging around 60 years old. Also, many countries have a high population under 15.

2. Nepal and India spend a lot of money on public education, while Pakistan doesn't. However, Pakistan has a high amount of people using adequate sanitation, and a lot of women in parliament, while India and Nepal don't.

3. South Asia has some parts where they need to improve, such as GDP, adequate sanitation, literacy rate (adult), and women in parliament. Also, when a lot of their population is under 15, that is showing that teenagers are doing work and beginning 'adult lives' possibly too early for the amount of responsibility it requires.

4. Adult Literacy Rate:
Middle East countries have most of their adult population able to read and write, while South Asia countries have about half or less.
Population Using Adequate Sanitation:
Again, Middle East has a high percentage of their country with access to adequate sanitation, and South Asia has only 28-62% with available sanitation.
