Panama Captures Top Colombian Drug Lord: Jan. 11th, 2004
Panama City (Reuters) - Panamanian police and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents captured a man they believe is one of Colombia's most important cocaine lords, Arcangel de Jesus Henao Montoya, authorities said on Sunday. Henao Montoya, accused of being second-in-command of the Norte del Valle cocaine cartel and wanted by the United States, was captured on Saturday in the Torti region of the Darien Gap, a lawless swath of jungle on the Colombian border where he was apparently hiding out for months.

Panama reopens 2023 bond, adds $326 mln-Citigroup: Jan.27th, 2004
Panama added $326 million to its 9.375 percent global bond due 2023, Citigroup Global Markets, sole manager of the transaction, said on Tuesday. The deal priced at 110.25 to yield 8.292 percent with a spread of 330 basis points over comparable U.S. Treasuries, a person on the bank's syndicate desk said. It is the second time Panama has come to market this year. The country sold $250 million of 30-year international bonds on Jan. 22, also through Citigroup.

Medical Team to give humanitarian aid in Panama:
Nine members of the 45th Medical Group at Patrick Air Force Base are going to Panama Feb. 7 to provide medical and humanitarian aid to Panamanians with limited access to medical care.
