Japan- Jan. 2004 Japan may consider sharing fusion project with France the right to host a large scale fusion plant. It will generate energy from the sun's power source and run on an isotope of hydrogen.

Sept. 2003-A new recyling law requires computers to be recycling. This law was in response to the many computers being disposed each year. During 2001, there were over 24 million home computers, and 460000 of them were being disposed. It can cost up to $35 deponding on type of computers.

June 2003-Japan's bid to triple whale hunt was denied. It was turned down in a 26-19 vote, by the International whaling commision.
