- Japan to send 600 troops starting on Febuary 3 to help rebuild Iraq. These Japanese troops are being sent in to help reset order and civilization after the war

- Japan considers sharing first nuclear fusion plant in the world with France. Japanese leaders are trying to build the plant with nuclear fusion, the same reaction that powers the sun. This innovation would create incredible power.

- Japanese troops sent to Iraq in debate of U.S. and Britain about claims of weapons of mass destruction of Saddam Hussien. This is the first military action by the Japenese since World War II.
