1.Saudis in show of force for hajj


Security is growing rapidly in Saudi Arabia as Muslims arrive for the hajj pilgrimage. Thousands of troops under the orders of Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz are gathering in Mecca, where the hajj events will start on Friday. The reason for being so protected is the resent bombings in Saudi Arabia that killed many people. Anti-American riots are also possible during hajj. Americans became very unpopular ever since the war on Iraq.

2.Saudi Gets First Women Pharmacist

The Saudi Health Ministry issued its first business license to a Saudi women to open and operate a pharmacy. This licsnse was the first of its kind to be given to a women ever and hopefully it will be the first of many. This was a great move for the rights of women in Saudi Arabia.

3. U.S. Beef is Confiscated in Saudi Arabia

In the port city of Jeddah, Saudi authorites took a shipload of beef to test it for Mad Cow Disease. But the director of the National Food Labritory,Jamil Nazer said, "The measure is just precautionary and taken upon the verbal directives of the ministry of commerce."
