Just a hit and run tonight. I wanted to write before I could forget.
I love exactly who you are. I know your heart, because part of mine will always be there with it.
So, I'm going to do the rest of this without entering pronoun hell, but please know that if I have chosen the wrong pronoun, you, your heart, and anyone else in it are safe with me.
Okay, here goes:
If a girl seems a little too intereted in your watch, your shoes, your clothes, your car, or your job, ditch her.
It's okay for a girl to make the first move, but you don't have to go along with it.
If she calls you an awful lot, she may really like you, you may have hurt her feelings, or she may be a stalker. Call her back, ask her how she feels, and tell her how you feel. If she keeps calling, she's a stalker.
Run, do not walk, away from anyone who trashes her own friends. Walk away from anyone who trashes your friends.
Friends really don't let friends drive drunk. Or high. Or angry.
When in doubt, always go with your gut.
Never hang out with anyone who is mean to animals or children. You can tell who people really are by how they treat those weaker than they.
Honor your feelings. Then, let them go.
Never forget how it felt to let Handfoot and Shakes go to a better, permanent home.
If she dates your friend, even once, she's not a good girlfriend.
If she dates her friend's boyfriend, even once, she's not going to be a good girlfriend.
Stay away from your friends' girlfriends. And ex-girlfriends.
Stay away from your girlfriend's friends. And ex-friends.
Look under the makeup.
If you thought I was going to talk to you about sex, you were wrong. Maybe about a hundred letters down the road. This stuff, spotting the clues people leave about themselves, is more important.
