Date Posted: 18:38:51 02/07/04 Sat In reply to: Ashton 's message, "Re: *Amazed*" on 14:39:55 02/07/04 Sat ~+~*after a few moments, you heard some sort of horn sounding in the distance. the little Amarian's ears perked up, then she shot into the air with her wings buzzing loudle as she rappidly vanished into the forest. you followed the sound of the horn, and vanished into the forest. after a while of walking, you noticed that several of the trees had torched hanging on the lower branches. the only lights in them were made by magic, but you still wondered if that was safe. you heard the horn again, and followed it until you could not follow it any more. you had found yourself at a large, solid circle of stones lying in a small clearing. you looked around the edges of it, and then turned your attention to the center. Nukara was standing there- sounding the horn. her eyes were closed as she let the horn resonate, and then you heard something behind you. you climbed onto the edge of the circle, and were quite glad that you did. you watched hundreds upon hundreds of Amarian's go leaping through the forest around you- their hooves making virtually no sound on the forest floor. you would have gotten trampled. some of the males looked at you as they passed, but did not try to stop you from being there. you noticed that several anthromorphs like Nukara were there as well, just as graveful as their kin. the only difference was that they were walking with one hand outstretched, holding lanterns as they moved. Nukara sounded the horn again behind you, and you watched as they all vanished into the forest. you turned to look at Nukara, only to find that she was gone. you jumped off the circle of stone, and followed where the others had been headed. when you finally caught up, you were standing just behind the massive herd, gazing up at something rather odd- it looked like a swarm of tree roots had grown over the side of a cliff at an angle, making a natural stage that looked over the area. however- there was no clidd, and the roots connected half way up their tree of origin. it probably had help growing that way. upon it stood two families- one of anthros, one of Amarians. in the anthro family you recognized Nukara, though she seemed to be the daughter of the two others there- a woman who was sloghtly taller than Nukara, but looked nearly identical, wearing a solid gray Gryphon feather robe. beside her, and again taller than the other two, stood her father- he was much more muscular, and as a reult, looked much larger than he really was while standing next to his family. he had massive antlers upon his head, but also had rings on his wings. he could probably shoot the poison out of his eyes too. he, like his bride, was in gray Gryphon feather robes. the other family was a bit larger. Amarians; mother, father, son, and daughter. The father was quite massive as well, probably one of the largest you had seen thus far. his vibrant orange and black stripes stood out strongly against the trees behind him. he had no antlers, but he did have the familiar rings on his wings. he was a bit bigger than a large buck. to his left stood his lady, about a foot smaller than him- and again, deceptively frail looking. her wings were colorless, and flared at the bottom. to her left stood the son, the eldest of the two children- the spitting image of his father, and slightly taller than his mother. then, to his left, stood-- Eurena? apparently she was of some importance to these people, but it did not seem like they people on the natural stage were royalty of any sort. all of those up there closed their eyes, and began to sing- a hauntingly familiar melody that you could not quite place, not could you understand the complex language. those watching closed their eyes as well and joined in. you sat down, captivated by the song..... those on the stage sang harmony, melody, and counter melody- those below them sang all three as well, but it seemed to be divided carefully among who sang what. you could not distinguish that either. you listened and fealt yourself feeling very.... light headed. not in a bad way, but it was a bit unusual.*~+~ [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
