The Pretty One

Years ago, I was talking to Karen on the phone telling her about an article I read that studied friendships. I went on to tell her, in depth, about the various reasons it said that friendships work well. One is that a pretty girl will often choose a plain girl to pal around with. The reason? She gets her choice of the boys. But, it works well for the plain girl, too, because she gets a better choice of guys than she might have on her own.

Slight pause from Karen and then she said,
"I'm the pretty one."
We argued for a couple of days about it one because
Obviously,I'm the pretty one.
Uuuhhhh, now that I think about it, maybe it was two of our other friends who were the pretty ones, and we were BOTH the plain ones. ;-)

Okay, so the article was stupid.
