Looking up from her quick grazing, the sterling lady spied a most unusual figure stray into her lands. A strange air was about this one indeed, but being a curious creature, the young queen concluded that a personal investigation. Forcing her four limbs to propell her forward at a stately walk, she came again to rest near the newcomer, a soft smile upon her features as she waited politely to be noticed.

The mare colapsed from her short excursion into the pulling tide. Her senses came alert with the signs of a horse nearby. She lifted her head from the ground, searching for the other creature. Spying the queen, she struggled to stand. Finally up, she wobbled for a few seconds then stood firm. Monet's Head went down in a low bow. When she could reach no more, she swiveled her eyes up to the other mare. She didn't speak, she was not one to talk often, but her eyes showed kindness, welcome, yearning, and a touch of fright. Once more she looked around nervously. She had seen the shadows move and hiss before, in another realm. She was being chased. By what, she did not know, but she seeked safty and belonging. Perhaps the queen and her kingdom could provide it...
