] Date Posted: 18:50:06 03/07/04 Sun In reply to: Cole 's message, "*Simple and Plain*" on 12:27:41 03/07/04 Sun xXx ”Alright, you’re in for a long haul then, mister Cole. Well, it all started around six years ago…” xXx xXx The sun blazed down upon the rugged western countryside, warming the hides of a small band of wild equine resting on a shady hillside, the powerfully built lead keeping a close eye on all of his herd, especially the group of newborn tykes. A smile creased his labrums before returning to his sentry post, monitoring his terrain. One youthful filly cavorted madly with the others, absorbed in their childish games. A tiny, pallid blaze streaked her minute, faultless countenance, her silkily feathered limbs dipped in ivory, the rest of her being a dark, rich sable. Suddenly, a piercing scream shattered the tranquility that hung so well in the spring air. The russet caliph rose challengingly into the wild blue yonder, his chipped talons ready to wage war upon the two-legged menace that ruined the serenity of this morn. Wild-eyed mothers rushed in every direction, gathering the young into a rigid bunch, their ivories bared threateningly. Rough tan snakes writhed through the air, snaring the sinewy crest of the alpha hessian. Brought down not without fight, he snapped and kicked viciously at any who dare come near him. An uncountable number of those fatal snakes soared through the atmosphere, whistling sinisterly. One tightened upon the miniature nape of a raven foal with a narrow blaze and four perfect socks, condemning her to the tamed life. xXx xXx A few years later, the distant shouts of gruff men in dusty clothes resonated across the plains, spilling from a large ranch. Whips cracked warningly in the still air, all aimed at one target. An adolescent demoness ran riotously in her pen, lithe pinions pounding the arid, cracked terrain. The stunning spitfire virago whistled shrilly, mahogany chasms showing white, crimson blood drying from a thousand places on her bruised and scratched midnight pelt. Alabaster dunked hooves rose into the welkin, captured by those same bristly serpents, bringing her crashing violently to the earth. As night came, she struggled free, body soaked in perspiration. She raced across the wide expanse of fenced area, gaining speed with every pace. A flying leap launched her into the air, lengthy, coiling banner waving behind her stretched boa as she landed gracefully on the opposite side and pursued her sweet freedom, already trying to rid herself of the chafing bridle. xXx xXx Love had caught her beating heart in it’s grasp, never feeling more at home with her toffee hued brother and her newfound sweetheart Intrepid by her side as fearless leaders of the remaining band of feral horses. Worry stabbed at the swelled heart in great pangs, her crimson-coated beau being challenged for his herd by a burly, enigmatic stranger. They had battled for hours, both exhausted. One slip, and the shredding incisors had snapped shut cruelly, stopping the needed breath from being drawn by her beloved. An angry cry of rage erupted from her larynx, hooves battering the contender’s sides ceaselessly, but to no avail. Intrepid slowly faded from the land of the living, and the shrew made another of her famed night escapes. xXx xXx ”…and that’s when I came to Cascade Mountains.” She spoke with reserve, confessing her life had been hard, and now came the tormenting pain of love lost. Swift silently pleaded for a break, biting back the brimming tears that had threatened to fall. She needed some reassurance…anything. Spiraling tresses of inky satin veiled her sterling orbs, her auditives perked slightly in the brute’s direction. xXx [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 13:52:05 03/11/04 Thu *He listened without interruption, his understanding of this femme growing with every word that passed her lips. Her story unfolded before him, the characters coming to life before him to re-enact the scenes she described so vividly. Her pain and sense of loss was tangible, resonating with his own agony, the barbs still clinging tenaciously to his heart even after so long. He knew what loss felt like and he ached for her, wishing that she didn't have to learn the lessons of heartache as he had. However, it was impossible to shelter one from the harsh realities of life and her story was a prime example. As her words came to a close, he could sense her need for a departure from the subject, even if for a moment. The ebony brute drew closer to her, his muzzle tracing along her nape before gently releasing a warm breath of air on her cheek* You have indeed experienced pain in your life, and the fact that you have yet to reveal the rest of the tale is disheartening at best. I'm sorry that I can't take that away from you *He meant it. That's what scared him. He actually wanted to alleviate all of the heartache and agony that he could so easily read in her injured posture and tear-stained eyes. However, now wasn't the time for advances of any kind, he was meant to be here for her and that was all. Strangely, that was enough. The ebony stallion was grateful for any comfort he could bring to her* [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 19:17:03 03/27/04 Sat xXx i’m so tired of being here xXx xXx suppressed by all of my childish fears xXx xXx and if you have to leave xXx xXx I wish that you would just leave xXx xXx because your presence still lingers here xXx xXx and it won’t leave me alone xXx xXx Swift felt peculiarly comfortable in the presence of the lucid stag, allowing herself to lean closer to his soothing touch. Vision blurred and hazy, the charred femme stared up at Cole in wonderment, wishing to tell him just how much he was assisting her in the generally extended process of healing a repetitively smashed heart, discovering she was unable to will her vocal cords to exert anything at the moment. Auditives pricked in his bearing amidst a mass of coiling charcoal tresses, absorbing the heartfelt speech gratefully. Abruptly, the paramour was struck with how much this landscape resembled Sun-Kissed Beach, immaculate porcelain sands to softly lapping waves on the shoreline. Why had she come here, of all places? Well, she really couldn’t say, not recalling having any sense of direction through the blinding tears. Sighing quietly, the ivory-socked maiden felt compelled to speak. xXx xXx I find myself lacking in words now that I wanted to convey how much I appreciate this, Cole. I do apologize for being a burden, but I can’t stand this place anymore. Would you mind if we went somewhere else? xXx xXx By somewhere else, Swift was thinking the Glory’s masquerade. It was perfect: they wouldn’t be noticed and she could finish her life story without going insane from the likeness of the two beaches. Turning, she gazed into the sable charger’s pools, hoping he’d accept the invitation to relocate. xXx xXx these wounds won’t seem to heal xXx xXx this pain is just too real xXx xXx there’s just too much that time cannot erase xXx ![]() S Wi F T xXx m y i m m o r t a l xXx [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
