Hey Karen! I just had a cone/Leep procedure done about 6 weeks ago. I have actually have had 2 done. I had one outpatient and one inpatient. The outpatient one was worse because I could hear and see what they were doing- I brought an mp3 player so I didn't have to hear what was going on. The inpatient was wonderful because you fell asleep then woke up and don't remember a thing! Both afterwards cramping and some discharge. Take it easy for 4-6 weeks. My doctor said no lifting over 5 pounds during that time. Just relax and don't plan on going to work the next day!! My employer has been excellent since I shared all of this informatiob about what was going on!! Hope it goes well!!
